K-Bomb & The Kool Whips

Alex Shepherd was born in the hills of beautiful Bogota, Colombia. He grew up and carved his musical teeth in Raleigh, NC touring and performing with many popular local bands. He splits his time now working with numerous local bands and artists all over the great state of NC. You can also find him playing on studio sessions and teaching part time drum lessons as well.

Alex started his musical journey young, performing for the first time at the ripe age of 13. He quickly fell in love with the stage. Since then he has gotten to tour the country and perform in over 30 states and open up for thousands in attendance. He is the Co-Founder and drummer for long time local favorite Windsor Oaks Band. He also held down the back beat for, 2019 Texas Country Band of The Year, Saints Eleven(from 2016-2022). Alex has had the honor to play on many different studio recordings for various local artists and bands throughout his working career.

Alex continues to perform and work with local bands including; Jon Wood & The Ramblers, Late Bloomers, and anyone who needs a reliable professional fill in.
