K-Bomb & The Kool Whips

Keith Lewis is a professional musician, composer, arranger, and music director from Massachusetts. Since moving to North Carolina in 2012, he has been a regular fixture of the Triangle music scene, performing with a number of local bands and musical theatre productions.

Initially setting out to become a classical musician, Keith studied trumpet and audio production at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Seeing far more opportunities available for rhythm players than trumpeters, Keith began to study electric and upright bass, and upon graduation started working regularly as a bassist.

In addition to playing with K-Bomb and the Kool Whips, he can be seen with Warren in their instrumental jazz/metal fusion band, Echonest, with local rock band The Pseudo Cowboys, teaching private instrumental music lessons, or accompanying dance classes and performances with North Carolina Arts In Action.
